Xi Jinping re-elected as the President of China
- Xi Jinping has been re-elected as the President of China for the next five years. The People's Congress of China, considered to be a rubber stamp, cleared the deadline for President's tenure only a few days ago, and approved that Xi Jinping can become a lifetime president.
- Xi was also elected as the chief of China's powerful Central Military Commission, inside which Chinese army comes.
- On March 11, more than 2,900 MPs of the National People's Congress (NPC) voted for the constitutional amendment proposed by the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) for ending the two terms limit for President and vice-president.
- Due to the deadline for a two-time tenure, Xi had to retire as CPC Chief, Army and President till 2023. Xi became president in year 2013.
शी चिनफिंग को फिर से चीन के राष्ट्रपति बने
- शी चिनफिंग को फिर से अगले पांच और साल के लिये चीन का राष्ट्रपति चुन लिया गया है। रबर स्टांप मानी जाने वाली चीन की संसद नेशनल पीपुल्स कांग्रेस ने कुछ ही दिन पहले राष्ट्रपति के कार्यकाल पर लगी समयसीमा खत्म करते हुए उन्हें आजीवन राष्ट्रपति बनने की मंजूरी दे दी थी।
- शी को चीन की ताकतवर सेंट्रल मिलिट्री कमिशन का भी प्रमुख चुना गया, जिसके अंदर चीनी सेना आती है।
- 11 मार्च को नेशनल पीपुल्स कांग्रेस( एनपीसी) के2900 से अधिक सांसदों ने राष्ट्रपति एवं उपराष्ट्रपति के दो कार्यकाल की समयसीमा खत्म करने के मकसद से सत्तारूढ़ चीन की कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी( सीपीसी) की ओर से प्रस्तावित संवैधानिक संशोधन के लिये मतदान किया था।
- दो बार के कार्यकाल पर समयसीमा लगने के कारण शी को वर्ष 2023 तक सीपीसी प्रमुख, सेना एवं राष्ट्रपति के तौर पर सेवानिवृत्त होना था। शी वर्ष 2013 में राष्ट्रपति बने थे।
- Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $120 million loan agreement for completion of works for double-tracking and electrification of railways tracks along high-density corridors to improve operational efficiency of Indian railways.
- The tranche 3 loan is part of the $500 million multi-tranche financing facility for Railway Sector Investment Program approved by the ADB Board in 2011. The loan amount will be used to complete the ongoing works commenced under earlier tranches.
- Sameer Kumar Khare, Joint Secretary (Multilateral Institutions), Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, signed the loan for the Government of India, and Mr. Kenichi Yokoyama, Country Director of ADB’s India Resident Mission, signed on behalf of ADB.
भारत और एडीबी ने रेलवे की बुनियादी ढांचागत सुविधाओं को बेहतर करने के लिए 120 मिलियन डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए
- भारत सरकार और एशियाई विकास बैंक (एडीबी) ने भारतीय रेलवे की परिचालन क्षमता बेहतर करने के लिए ज्यादा भीड़-भाड़ वाले गलियारों (कॉरिडोर) से सटे रेलवे की पटरियों को दोहरी लाइन में तब्दील करने के साथ-साथ वि़द्युतीकरण से संबंधित कार्यों को पूरा करने के लिए 120 मिलियन डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- ऋण की यह तीसरी किस्त वर्ष 2011 में एडीबी के बोर्ड द्वारा स्वीकृत किये गये रेल क्षेत्र निवेश कार्यक्रम से जुड़ी 500 मिलियन डॉलर की बहु-किस्त वित्त पोषण सुविधा का एक हिस्सा है। इस ऋण राशि का उपयोग पूर्ववर्ती किस्तों के तहत शुरू किये गये कार्यों को पूरा करने में किया जाएगा।
- वित्त मंत्रालय के आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग में संयुक्त सचिव (बहुपक्षीय संस्थान) श्री समीर कुमार खरे ने भारत सरकार की तरफ से और एडीबी के इंडिया रेजीडेंट मिशन के कंट्री डायरेक्टर श्री केनिची योकोयामा ने एडीबी की तरफ से इस ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये।
Maharashtra To Implement Plastic Ban In Phases
- The Maharashtra government has decided to implement its decision in phases, it also decided to exempt milk pouches, PET bottles, garbage bags and some other plastic products from the ban. The thrust would be on banning one-time use plastic such as carry bags and cutlery.
- The government has also introduced a scheme to promote collection of used bottles. Under this scheme, one have to pay Re1 extra to buy a mineral bottle as refundable recycling charge which will be refunded if the bottle is returned to the shopkeeper. This will be followed for milk pouches also. Consumers will have to pay 50 paise per milk pouch, which will be refunded if it is returned to the shopkeeper.
- The government have also decided to ban non-woven polypropylene bags, plastic sheets, plastic pouches and all kinds of plastic films in Maharashtra.
- महाराष्ट्र सरकार प्लास्टिक प्रतिबंध को चरणों में लागू करने का फैसला किया है, इसके साथ ही प्रतिबंध से दूध पाउच, पीईटी बोतलों, कचरा बैग और कुछ अन्य प्लास्टिक उत्पादों को छूट देने का भी निर्णय लिया गया है। एक बार उपयोग किए जाने वाले प्लास्टिक जैसे कैर्री बैग और कटलरी पर प्रतिबंध लगाने पर जोर दिया जाएगा।
- सरकार ने बोतलों के संग्रह को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक योजना भी पेश की है। इस योजना के तहत, रिफंडेबल रिसाइकिलिंग शुल्क के रूप में एक बोतल खरीदने के लिए अतिरिक्त 1 का भुगतान करना होगा, अगर बोतल को दुकानदार को वापस कर दिया जाएगा तो धनवापसी की जाएगी। दूध के पाउच के लिए भी इसका पालन किया जाएगा। उपभोक्ताओं को प्रति दूध पाउच के लिए 50 पैसे का भुगतान करना होगा, अगर दुकानदार को वापस लौटा दिया जाए तो उन्हें वापस कर दिया जाएगा।
- सरकार ने महाराष्ट्र में गैर-बुना पॉलीप्रोपीलीन बैग, प्लास्टिक की चादरें, प्लास्टिक पाउच और प्लास्टिक की सभी प्रकार की फिल्मों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का फैसला किया है।
- N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, has been elected as the President of the Court of the Indian Institute of Science for 2018-21. The court is the apex body of the Indian Institute of Science, comprising senior academics of the Institute and distinguished representatives of the Government of India, Government of Karnataka, Industry, and Civil Society.
- Chandrasekaran is the 8th President of the IISc Court and takes over from former ISRO chief Dr K Kasturirangan. Sir M Visvesvaraya, J R D Tata, and Ratan Tata were among those who adorned the IISc Court Presidentship in the past.
- टाटा संस के चेयरमैन एन चंद्रशेखरन को 2018-21 में भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान के न्यायालय के अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया। न्यायालय भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान की सर्वोच्च संस्थान है, जिसमें संस्थान के वरिष्ठ शिक्षाविदों और भारत सरकार, कर्नाटक सरकार, उद्योग और नागरिक समाज के प्रतिष्ठित प्रतिनिधियों का समावेश है।
- चंद्रशेखरन आईआईएससी कोर्ट के 8 वें अध्यक्ष हैं और इसरो के पूर्व प्रमुख डॉ। के कस्तुरीरंगन के बाद पदभार ग्रहण करेंगे। सर एम विश्वेश्वरा, जे आर डी टाटा, और रतन टाटा उन लोगों में शामिल थे जिन्हें आईआईएससी कोर्ट की अध्यक्षता अतीत में सुशोभित किया गया था।
