China appoints new military chief
Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed 63-year-old decorated General Li Zuocheng, a veteran of the Sino-Vietnamese war, as the new chief of the Joint Staff Department of the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA).

चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी चिनफिंग ने 63 वर्षीय जनरल ली जुओचेंग को पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी के ज्वाइंट स्टाफ डिपार्टमेंट का नया प्रमुख नियुक्त किया। ली जुओचेंग चीन-वियतनाम युद्ध में भी शामिल थे।
