Jessica Ennis-Hill finally to receive her 2011 world gold medal at London.

Jessica Ennis-Hill will finally get her hands on the 2011 world championships gold medal originally denied her by the Russian drugs cheat Tatyana Chernova at a special ceremony at next month’s world championships in London. The news was confirmed when Chernova lost her appeal against a retrospective ban for taking steroids at the court of arbitration for sport. It means Ennis-Hill becomes a three-times world heptathlon champion, to go along with her Olympic gold and silver medals.

Facebook to launch paid news subscription product.

A week after nearly 2,000 publishers in the US formed the News Media Alliance to get an anti-trust exemption from the Congress to negotiate over advertising revenue with digital platforms, a top Facebook executive has confirmed the company would soon launch a news subscription product.

Campbell Brown, the head of the company’s news partnerships, said Facebook will launch a subscription-based news product with initial tests beginning in October.

First Australian Uranium shipment is on its way to India.

The first ever shipment of uranium from Australia -- having world's biggest reserves of yellow cake -- is on its way to India elevating strategic partnership to a new level.

The parliamentary clearance for uranium supplies was approved in Australia. India and Australia have also agreed on nuclear safeguards agreement. 

India and Australia signed a civil nuclear pact in 2014 and Canberra has been a supporter of India's entry into the NSG besides other export control regimes.

India’s GDP could rise to about $8 trillion over next 15 years, says Arvind Panagariya.

“Today, the Indian economy is among the major economies, the fastest growing economy, it has now left China behind," the NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman said.

India’s gross domestic product (GDP) could rise to about $8 trillion over the next 15 years if the country registers an economic growth of 8% annually and come very close to eliminating abject poverty entirely, NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Arvind Panagariya has said here.

He said with that level of economic growth, living standards and amenities that are taken for granted in the west will become accessible to a very large part of the population in India in the coming 15 years.

                            

अगले 15 वर्षों में भारत की जीडीपी 8 अरब डॉलर तक पहुंच सकती है, अरविंद पनागरीय ने कहा|

नीति आयोग के उपाध्यक्ष ने कहा, "आज, भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था प्रमुख अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में से एक है, सबसे तेज़ी से बढ़ती हुई अर्थव्यवस्था है, अब इसने चीन को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया है।"

भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) अगले 15 सालों में 8 खरब डॉलर तक बढ़ सकता है अगर देश प्रतिवर्ष 8% की आर्थिक वृद्धि दर्ज करता है और पूरी तरह से गरीबी को समाप्त करने के करीब आ जायेगा, तो नीति आयोग के उपाध्यक्ष अरविंद पनागरिया ने यहां कहा है।

उन्होंने कहा कि आर्थिक विकास के उस स्तर का है, जो कि पश्चिम में दिए गए जीवन स्तर और सुविधाओं को आने वाले 15 वर्षों में भारत में आबादी के बहुत बड़े हिस्से के लिए सुलभ बनाया जा सकेगा।
