2. Faustin Archange Touadera sworn-in as President of Central African Republic. With this, 58-year-old Tauadera became the first elected President of the country in three years.
फौस्टिन अर्चांज तौदेरा ने मध्य अफ्रीकी गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ ली। इसके साथ ही 58 वर्षीय तौदेरा पिछले तीन वर्षों में पहले निर्वाचित राष्ट्रपति नियुक्त हुए।
3. R. Masakui, presently Director in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to Zimbabwe. Mr. Masakui is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2001 batch.

भारत सरकार की ओर से आर्थिक मामले विभाग में संयुक्त सचिव श्री राज कुमार और विश्व बैंक की तरफ से विश्व बैंक (भारत) के निदेशक श्री ओनो रूल ने ‘राजस्थान के लिए पहली कार्यक्रमबद्ध बिजली वितरण सुधार विकास नीति ऋण’ हेतु 250 मिलियन डॉलर का आईबीआरडी ऋण समझौता किया।
5. European Investment Bank will invest 33 billion Rupees for the first metro line in Lucknow. President of the bank, Werner Hoyer confirmed the European Investment Bank's commitment to support long term investment in India at the 13th India-EU summit held in Brussels.

6. Government launched the ‘Inclusiveness and Accessibility Index’ to mark the next chapter of its flagship Campaign, the ‘Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan’. The Index, prepared in collaboration with The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) was launched by Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs.

7. The 4th Nuclear Security Summit began in Washington DC. Heads of about 50 countries and representatives of five international organizations will take part in this summit. The two-day summit will highlight achievements and commitments of several countries towards safeguarding nuclear devices and technologies and reducing the threat of nuclear terrorism.
चौथा परमाणु सुरक्षा शिखर सम्मेलन वाशिंगटन डीसी में शुरु हुआ। लगभग 50 देशों के प्रमुख और पांच अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठनों के प्रतिनिधि इस शिखर सम्मेलन में हिस्सा लेंगे।दो दिन के इस सम्मेलन में परमाणु उपकरणों और प्रौद्योगिकी के सुरक्षा मानकों की दिशा में कई देशों की उपलब्धियों और प्रतिबद्धताओं तथा परमाणु आतंकवाद के खतरे को कम करने के मुद्दे पर विचार विमर्श किया जाएगा।
8. China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Czech Republic CEZ group on nuclear energy, including procurement, construction, operations and maintenance of power plants. The two will also explore joint investment opportunities and collaboration in renewable energy.CGN is one of the largest nuclear power reactor operators in China.
चीन की चाइना जनरल न्यूक्लियर पावर कॉर्पोरेशन (सीजीएन) ने बिजली संयंत्रों की खरीद, निर्माण, संचालन और मरम्मत सहित परमाणु ऊर्जा पर चेक गणराज्य की सीईजेड समूह के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए। दोनों समूह नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में संयुक्त निवेश के अवसरों और सहयोग पर ध्यान देंगे। सीजीएन चीन के सबसे बड़े परमाणु ऊर्जा रिएक्टर संचालकों में से एक है।
9. Brazil's Sports Minister George Hilton has resigned. Ricardo Leyser will replace Hilton as the Sports Minister.
