1. Panama will adopt international tax reporting standards and participate in the automatic exchange of tax information by 2018, as the country has come under a harsh spotlight in the wake of revelations arising from the "Panama Papers" controversy.

2. Hawk-Eye technology will be used to decide whether the ball has crossed the goal-line at this year's European Championship. The British company's camera-based system, used in tennis and cricket and at the 2014 World Cup final, will be installed in all the 10 stadiums hosting the tournament in France.

3. The Centre informed the Supreme Court that 256 of 675 (over one-third) of India’s districts have been declared drought-hit. The court, hearing a PIL filed by NGO Swaraj Abhiyan, was also told that at least 33 crore people (25% of the population) are affected.
